I got a file called APE with CUE. A sound file, though. What to do with these?

Some times later… Yeah, I got it!
APE is Monkey’s Audio format. Compressed WAV, seems like.

How to do is here.
You need to download Monkey’s Audio from its web site where is www.monkeysaudio.com and it is a freeware.

  1. Install and run it.
  2. From the File menu, choose “Add file(s)” and add your file(s)
  3. From the Mode menu, choose “Decompress”
  4. Push the button “Decompress”

Now you have WAV file(s). You want split it by CUE file. Then you must download Exact Audio Copy which also is a freeware for personal use from its web site (www.ExactAudioCopy.de/).

  1. Install and run it.
  2. The software asks you many questions, just ignore them.

  3. From the Tool menu, choose “Split WAV by CUE Sheet…” and select your WAV file and CUE file.

Done!
Now you are able to do with them what ever you want.
