Now again. Batch Image Resizing Software. And is based on ImageConverter made of Eric-Paul. Unlike his version, this one save your images to JPEG.
The source code, I could not manage is the following.
CheckForIllegalCrossThreadCalls = false;
I got Error message.
Since I am using “BackgroundWorker”, I hope it goes well.
Anyway, it’s very fast to scale your images.
There seems to be some mysterious features of Windows, and it’s magically save JPEG image format. It was not necessary to enter specific values for compression or anything, just the size.
Then voila. You have it.
And this part, I wanted to do something to avoid errors, because the user can delete digits.
But it was actually difficult.
Anyway, after many hours of hassle, I tried the test and see what happens. And look at that, it said nothing and worked just fine.
When I checked the saved images, the scale was changed to the default size (- 1024 pixels in this case), the value I wrote in the “numericUpDown” properties.
I wrote the code as follows:
string s = numericUpDownMaximum.Value.ToString();
if (s == "")
{
MessageBox.Show("You must input the Max value.", "Max width is empty", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Stop);
return;
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show(s, "Max width is not empty", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Stop);
}
And ran the program. I deleted numbers, and tested. Then answered the “1024″.
Wise Microsoft again! It is without saying anything but “Handled”.
If you want, you can download it from here.
I had been looking for C# source code that can be used to learn. Something simple program I wanted. Also I’m interested in images and graphics, I want to have something like that.
Luckily, I found the source code but Visual Basic .Net. And there was something wrong with the code and I could not compile it. It was done by the older version of Visual Studio and it works fine with it, I think. But not with mine (Visual Studio 2008). Since I don’t speak VB.Net, it was a big problem. But I’ve found a good translator on the Internet. There you can translate different languages as well.

It is so clean, nice and simple.
Finally I could make graphics resizer with C#. It works, but not correctly. The height and the width looks strange. Distorted. Apparently I did something wrong, but where? I do not know. I had been working on the problem, but I did not find the solution. So I ended up with this.
It did not work and it is absolutely not author’s fault but mine.

Image file should be in the same folder as the XAP file (“ClientBin” folder). If it is not the case, you must specify the path to the file (ie http://www.yoursite.com/images/bird.png).
Actually, the XAP file is a ZIP file with different extension. You can change its extension and unzip it.
I received an e-mail from one of WebResizer users.
He says:
Hi,
Downloaded latest version
Great prog thank you!
The text watermark does not work (tried XP and 7?)
I say:
I make software in XP, and it works on both XP and 7.
Can you check whether you have checked “Insert text” check box in “Output options” and try again if it works.
And he says again:
Yes i have ticked insert text.
I have tried it on 3 different computers with the same problem,text does not get added.
Is there an earlier version i can try please to use on XP or 7?
I think this user wants older version. I wonder why … Unfortunately, I have not.
Older code will not work on updated development environment. That’s why I must update each software. And I do not keep my older software either to save space.
If I write that the program works in XP and 7, then it works.
I actually tested on these operating systems (English and Swedish) before I publish them.
Unfortunately, if it still does not work on your system, I cannot do anything about it.

As you see it, it works Web Resizer Text Watermark on my XP, and it works on 7 as well.
Check the following:
- Tranparency should not be 0 (zero), 0 = Transparent (invisible).
- “Insert Text” check box should be checked.
- If you have a dark photo, choose a light text color. (If you have a bright photo, select a dark text color)
- You have a large photo and the font is very small. It works but not very visible. Choose then larger font.
Good luck!

I installed IEvolution by HiComponents (http://www.hicomponents.com/), but I cannot even compile the demo program included with the DLLs.
I installed IEvolution.DLL and copied IECore.DLL in the Windows System folder. But it does not work.
When I compile demo project, I get only the following exception.
Exception
Make sure the file image is a valid managed assembly or module.
This exception is thrown when unmanaged code is passed to Load for loading.
Actually I cannot convert demo projects to Visual Studio 2008 projects, not so easy either. XML error occurs!
Can someone tell me how to do it?
Web Resizer got a new Award by SoftwareCocktail (http://www.softwarecocktail.com/).
Actually “Editor’s Pics”!
Web Resizer Editor’s Review By Jim Curry.
Much more than just another freeware bulk image resizing tool, Web Resizer is the professional image manipulation and processing utility that web and systems administrators everywhere have been waiting for.
A tiny 2Mb download and a quick, no-frills install reveals some serious functionality packed into a one-size-fits-all window. Use the simple directory browser to select the folder you want to work with, choose the filetype and destination, and then take a closer look at some of the things Web Resizer lets you do.
One of the stuff in Software Cocktail worked so hard to create my pad file. I would like to thank for his job.
Web Resizer has been updated to version 1.0.6.2539.
Now, it supports the following graphic format:

And function in low memory mode has been implemented, but it does not work perfectly yet.
