I have now finally been told that our water is approved for drinking.
Now it is GOOD to drink AGAIN!

So stupid! It took 2 months.

Thanks for someone who cared!

Not splendid but pretty good sound with different sizes. They are handy!

This page is now on a new server, and downloads are handled via FTP. To keep free soundfonts free, the bandwidth must be controlled. If you get an error message from your browser when you select a download, try again in a few minutes – it just means that all connections are busy. Also, please don’t try to download more than one file at a time – you are limited to only a single connection and will get that error message again. Once a file is complete, you can download another. Thanks for your understanding.

It may not call large files these days, but there are many Mega bytes SoundFont there.
I tried them with my MidiToWav, and it felt a bit odd because it sounded very different from the Sequencer’s sound, but nice tuned!

PersonalCopy (http://www.personalcopy.com/)
Follow the link SoundFont!
There are free MIDI files and stuff too.

It feels 8MB Creative Labs SoundFont sounds better to me after all.

The Silverlight Managed Debugging Package Isn’t Installed! What error is that?
I saw the Silverlight animation on the web and I wanted to do it too.
Microsoft Silverlight technology will not work in Visual Studio 2008, so I need to update it to SP1. It was about 850 MB. When I made it, Windows wanted to further update of SP1, which was almost 500 MB.
It took a long time but it was done.

Right now, the latest version of Silverlight 4 does not work in VS2008, I have downloaded the Silverlight tools version 3, SDK and samples from Microsofts’ downloads.

I thought, “Now it is OK for work”. But NOT.
When I open a sample solution and click “Start Debugging”, it displays the following message.

The silverlight managed debugging package isn’t installed.

I thought everything was OK, but no.
I searched through the MSDN Forums and stuff, but found nothing that helped me. Then googled, and found quite a lot.
But what is correct? I did not want to test all possible. Anyway, I tried some of them, and did not work.
I thought Silverlight addon has something to do with it. It was a very reasoned to me. Since it’s made for ordinary users, not for developers. In addition, I saw the MS Silverlight plugin will always installed the latest (version 4). But I am trying to do is 3.

Conclusion

  • MSVS2008 must be updated to SP1
  • If you have Silverlight browser plugin version 4, uninstall it
  • If you have Silverlight4 Tools, uninstall them all
  • Download and install Silverlight3_Tools
  • Download and install Silverlight3_SDK
  • Download and install Silverlight_Developer (version 3)

You do not need to change the registry or such a complex.
I hope that helps if you have similar problems.

Image Resizer 2.1

This is what the author (…not me) says.

This is a clone of the Image Resizer Powertoy for Windows XP — a PowerToy that allows you to right-click on one or more image files in Windows Explorer to resize them. It was created (by me) to extend support to non-XP and 64-bit versions of Windows (including 2000, Vista & 7).

I’ve tested this on Windows Vista (62-bit). It is smooth and works very well and even free. Yes, he is very smart. Actually, you do not need my WebResizer any longer, he he :)

Flash bug?
I was looking for Invader Game online, and found quite many. Nostalgic reasons. Yes, I just wanted to play it.
Game made by Java worked fine, but not by Flash. It really did not work at all. Entering the Arrow-keys, ESC, Enter, Space and stuff, did nothing. I could use the mouse buttons but no keys. No Flash games worked! So I thought that it must be something wrong with my computer. And it was indeed.
I use Key Scrambling software so that I would not leave many traces of me when I’m using the Internet. You must protect yourself by threats, right? So do I. In Java captures keystroke correctly with Key Scrambling software ON, but Flash cannot. It must be BUG i Flash.
There will be problems for Flash programmers, not right now maybe, but later, when many people begin to use the Key-Scrambling software for their own safety.

I was thinking to do a bit visually attempt to convince you. So I looked on the web thoughtfully such as skins. And I found them.

SXSkinComponents

If you are using an old Delphi like me.., it’s fun. You can make your app with the skin but won’t cost you anything. It is freeware components.
It includes many skins, and you can make your own, too. SXSkin uses Graphics32 which supports many graphic formats with GraphicEx image library by Mike Lischke (http://www.soft-gems.net/).
You can do a lot with this skin component, though.
Unfortunately, manufacturers’ site (http://www.saarixx.info/sxskincomponents/en/) is not available now, but you can download it from Torry’s Delphi Page (http://www.torry.net/). Go to Components > Component Packs > Skins and Themes Packs(http://www.torry.net/pages.php?id=1544) and seek there!

AlphaControls Lite Edition

This is a light version of AlfaControls and works without any limitations in Delphi 5/6/7/2005/2006/2007/2009/2010 and C++ Builder 6/2006/2007/2009/2010. And it works.
You can download it from AC Team (http://www.alphaskins.com).

This project will not continue any longer.
It includes screenshot software (Snipping Tool) since Microsoft launched Windows Vista. It feels unnecessary and pointless to make a new version, if it is not very special…I think that my program is not special.
I’m using Vista, but make software on XP for compatibility’s sake. So it is still downloadable for XP users.
If you want to put a watermark on your photos, you can use it because it works just fine on Vista and Seven.

  • Organ One Uninstall.exe
  • Generic.Dropper.mc (Trojan)

When I did the full scan of my hard drive, I discovered that my virus scan deleted a file. It seems to be one of the trojan and not dangerous. It was an uninstaller which is for one of my favorite VST “Organ One” and felt a bit disappointed with my virus scan.
I thought it would be nice of me to notify the manufacturer, but he does not support this program further and I could not find his e-mail address either. Since it is not his program is a trojan, but the setup program that he uses is a trojan. Though he no longer supports the VST, but I hope he discoveries that. Or any of his friends could tell him about this and hope that he will repackage this VST.

His VST works just fine after all!
