| General |
Web Resizer was made to convert and downscale common graphic format such as JPEG, PNG, WMF, TGA and so on... to standard web graphic formats i.e. JPEG and PNG for browsing friendly size.
When you are using this kind of software (image viewer or image resizer or some kind), perhaps you have experienced that once you select a folder it contains many big images, your application is not responding or your application is freezing.
Possibly you have a lot of Mega pixels images inside the selected folder and your application tries to load all those images. It takes a very long time even if you have a fast PC. And you are not able to do anything until it loads all image files on the memory and actually it must reload them all when you want to convert or resize them. But it will not happen with Web Resizer.
Web Resizer does not load images before you choose to load them - you will not see thumbnail images on the list view when you just select a folder. |
| New Features |
- Make profiles and load them and / or save them for any time they are needed
- Preview result before resize images
- Choose text alignment for watermark
- Insert Unicode (16bit character) as watermark on preferred OS (this is nothing for ASCII users)
- See process counter when you resize multiple files, then users will know which number of images is now processing
And some user friendly functions are added. If you are already using Web Resizer version 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 you will see these. |
| Changes |
- Set of buttons are changed - it was necessary to change so that I do not need to change GUI
- When you preview an image with image viewer, you could not scroll it with mouse button. Now you can do it. Press left mouse button and hold down while moving around.
- Web Resizer showed warning if you tried to run it from Read Only device such as CD-Rom. Now it terminates the process ... means that you need to install it on your local device such as hard disk.
And lots of codes had been changed for better performance.

| Fixed Bug |
- When you check a checkbox "use the same folder", it did not happen anything... has solved.

| Supported file formats |
 |
If you are using digital camera, perhaps you would like to use RAW file. If you are interested in RAW format, check it out here. It is so far I know that I can handle those cameras. Be sure that this release cannot handle RAW data.
And if you wish to have one software, please drop me few lines by e-mail or leave some message to my guestbook. If there are many people want to have it, I have mine to release RAW data version. Since there are some different kind of RAW formats available on the market, I must release a separate version with really "AS IT IS" basis. |
| JPEG 2000 files |
| I haven't seen this file format. And actually I have never used it myself yet. Then I tested files included with CorelDraw's CDRom. |
